The audio episodes exist to make those reps count — each one loads the exam's exact vocabulary and phrasing into your head beforehand, so workshop time is spent performing your analysis, not learning what the words mean.

I've evaluated hundreds of candidates across Canada, Norway, and Japan. I've seen what helps someone walk into their course confident and prepared — and how much of a difference a strong foundation makes before the training even begins. I built Snowboard Movement Lab to give people that head start.
Both — and that's the point. You'll practice analysis on real rider footage, and you can submit your own riding clips to be analyzed live in the workshops. You watch an evaluator read your riding the way the exam will, and you get an honest sense of how close you are and what to work on — well before exam day. (The exam itself, on snow, is what confirms the standard.) Film in landscape, from a stable position below the rider — instructions come at onboarding.
You need to be a certified instructor (CASI L1 or equivalent) — comfortable linking turns on blue runs. These workshops are about your diagnostic and teaching eye, not your own riding. Most participants are strong riders who struggle specifically with reading and correcting other riders.
Audio and live workshops are delivered in English. Companion materials include a bilingual glossary (English / Traditional Chinese / Simplified Chinese). You need to be comfortable receiving instruction in English — the same requirement as the CASI L2 course itself.
All workshops are recorded and shared within 24 hours. You'll miss the live practice but can catch up. We recommend attending at least 3 of the 4 live for best results.
No. The core skill — reading and correcting intermediate riders — makes you a better instructor whether or not you sit an exam. It's built around the CASI L2 Analysis & Improvement framework, but the diagnostic system applies to any instructor who wants to teach intermediates well.
